Sustainability
Sustainability is not a marketing initiative for us. It is simply how these ceramics have been made for centuries: with natural materials, human skill, and respect for the earth.
Natural Materials
Our ceramics are made from locally sourced clay and finished with mineral-based pigments and lead-free glazes. There are no synthetic materials, no plastics, no chemical shortcuts. The raw materials come from the same regions where our artisans have worked for generations.
Traditional Methods
Every piece is shaped on a hand-powered wheel, painted by hand, and fired in traditional kilns. These methods consume a fraction of the energy used in industrial ceramic production. The process is slow by design, producing pieces meant to last a lifetime rather than be discarded.
Supporting Local Artisans
We partner directly with artisan workshops in Fez and Safi, ensuring fair compensation and stable livelihoods. By cutting out middlemen, more of what you pay goes directly to the people who make your pieces. This model helps sustain families and keeps traditional craft skills alive in communities where they might otherwise be lost.
Fair Trade Practices
We are committed to ethical sourcing and fair working conditions. Our artisan partners work in safe environments, set their own schedules, and are compensated above market rates. We invest in long-term relationships, not one-off transactions.
Thoughtful Packaging
We use minimal, recyclable packaging materials. Our shipping boxes are made from recycled cardboard, and we use biodegradable protective materials to keep your ceramics safe in transit. We avoid unnecessary inserts, tissue paper, and plastic wherever possible.
Built to Last
Perhaps the most sustainable choice is one that does not need to be replaced. Our ceramics are made to be used daily and to endure for years. In a culture of disposability, a handmade piece that ages beautifully is a quiet act of resistance.
